Drums in country

    We have all heard country songs, but this video is actually exclusively focused on the drums during a country band performance. A great practical tutorial! :)

    It's cool to see that the drums can go beyond "Rock", but... As a legitimate fan of Country music, I don't feel very comfortable with the sonority of the drums in this musical genre because I think it's a very heavy sound that doesn't fit with the genre.

    P.S: Great video tutorial. ;)

    I think I know what you mean, and even if the drums are not the core of country, they can certainly fit in most musical genres. Take classic for example, and please check the thread I posted there, that song was actually enhanced by the drums. Not that the original is worse, but this "new" one was actually excellent!

    There are a lot of cool Country drumming techniques and beats. Drummers definitely have to have their timing down when they are playing country music as they can be quite fast and have all those drum fills.
